Gordon Chang lived and worked in China for over two decades.  He is the author of; The Coming Collapse of China, The Great U.S. China Tech War, China is Going to War, and his latest  Plan Red: China's Project to Destroy America.

​He is a senior fellow at the Gatestone Institute, serves on its advisory board, and is involved with the Global Taiwan Institute. He has briefed the CIA, National Intelligence Council, State Department, Pentagon, and testified before U.S. Congressional committees related to U.S.-China policy.

He is a prominent and often controversial commentator specializing in U.S.-China relations, Asian geopolitics, and security issues, known for his legal background in Asia and for writing extensively on anticipated challenges posed by China and North Korea. 

Chang is a widely published commentator, contributing to The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Daily Beast, Commentary, National Review, Barron’s, and other outlets.

He has appeared as a guest on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, CNBC, PBS, Bloomberg Television, and on programs like The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. He co-hosts CBS’s Eye On the World with John Batchelor and frequently gives talks at universities such as Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Penn, Princeton, Yale, as well as think tanks including the Brookings Institution, Cato Institute, and Heritage Foundation
